Title: Senior Accountant
Department: Accounting / Finance
Location: Tempe, AZ
Compensation: $70,000-$90,000
Reports To: Director of Accounting

Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, and assisting with audit and regulatory reporting requirements. This position requires strong technical accounting skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a multi-entity environment. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial accuracy, internal controls, and ongoing process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries with proper documentation
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
* Prepare and maintain balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
* Monitor cash activity and support cash forecasting
* Assist with preparing audit schedules and supporting external audit needs
* Support documentation and development of accounting policies and procedures
* Prepare monthly management reporting packages and variance analysis
* Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed
* Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
* Maintain fixed asset register and oversee capitalization and amortization
* Support revenue recognition workflows and contract review
* Partner with operations, AP/AR, and finance teams to ensure accuracy

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* 3-6+ years of progressive accounting experience
* Experience in multi-entity or PE-backed environments preferred
* Experience supporting a sales-driven organization
* ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred
* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
* Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting
